Downloading Instructions First, figure out the size of your computer screen. Most screens are either 13 inches (640x480 pixels), 17 inches (800x600 pixels), or 21 inches (1024x768 pixels). Then, choose which picture you want as your new computer screen background. Or you can download all three and decide later! Make sure you know what kind of computer you have--either Windows or Macintosh. The files for each type of computer are labeled for you on this page. Next, click on the link for the correct size picture for the type of computer and screen that you have, and you will download that Picture file. (If you accidentally choose the wrong size, don't worry, you can always come back here to download a different size picture.) Finally, after you have downloaded the picture to your computer's hard drive, click twice on the file to unzip or unstuff it. It will become a JPEG image that you can now turn into a computer screen background by following the Windows instructions or the Macintosh instructions (depending on which kind of computer you have) that appear next on this page.
